Joshua David Seitz

Joshua David Seitz, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the fields of intellectual property and law. Joshua David currently holds the position of Associate Director of Intellectual Property at Prothena Corporation plc. Prior to this, they worked as a Patent Attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Joshua David also served as an Associate at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP and as a Summer Associate at both JONES DAY and Kaye Scholer LLP. Dr. Seitz gained experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Legal Department Intern at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. Joshua David also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the California Institute for Biomedical Research and completed their Ph.D. in Biomedical Science at Stony Brook University.

Joshua David Seitz, Ph.D. began their education by earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from the University of Vermont, which they completed between the years 2002 and 2007. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry at Stony Brook University, graduating in the years 2008 and 2013. Recently, from 2015 to 2018, they attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) specializing in Intellectual Property Law.
