Stephen Peng

Project Development Consultant at Protium Green Solutions

Stephen Peng has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Stephen is currently working at Protium as a Project Development Consultant since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Project Manager at Protium from March 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Protium, Stephen worked as a Consultant at CREAS Energy Consulting from December 2020 to March 2021. Stephen also served as the Director at Peng Consulting Ltd from November 2020 to March 2021.

Stephen's experience in the energy sector includes working as a Process Consultant at KBR / Granherne from August 2017 to November 2020, where they provided technical and strategic consulting to the energy, oil, and gas industries. Stephen achieved significant accomplishments, including identifying cost-saving opportunities worth $1 million.

Earlier in their career, Stephen was a Project Engineer at Wheelabrator Technologies from September 2016 to July 2017 and a Process Engineer at KBR, Inc. from September 2014 to July 2016. Stephen also gained industry experience as a Summer Intern at Champion Technologies from June 2010 to August 2012.

Stephen's educational background includes an MEng in Chemical Engineering with Energy Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, which they completed from September 2009 to June 2014.

Stephen Peng attended Aberdeen Grammar School from 2003 to 2009. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any specific field of study. Following their secondary education, Stephen went on to attend Heriot-Watt University from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained an MEng degree in Chemical Engineering.

In terms of additional certifications, Stephen received the following qualifications:

- In September 2019, they obtained the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) from the Association for Project Management.

- In August 2019, they became an Internal QMS Auditor, certified by Lloyd's Register.

- In July 2020, Stephen received the CEng (Chartered Engineer) certification from the Engineering Council, as well as the MIChemE (Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers) certification from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).

- In January 2020, they completed 30 hours of engagement as a STEM Ambassador for the 2018/2019 period, accredited by STEM Learning.

- Lastly, in April 2023, Stephen obtained the IOSH Managing Safely certification from PCR Global Limited.
