Lucas Lau

Lucas Lau is a seasoned professional in machine learning and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Senior Director at Protiviti since April 2018, where responsibilities include leading the development of the firm's AI and machine learning practices. Previously, Lucas held the position of Principal Data Scientist and AVP at Zurich North America, where significant achievements included establishing a cognitive computing capability and developing a predictive pricing model that drastically reduced deployment cycles. Lucas's career also includes experience as a Managing Consultant at IBM Analytics, specializing in optimization solutions for the auto insurance sector, and as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, focusing on actuarial risk and advanced analytics. Lucas holds a Master’s Degree in Statistics from Columbia University, with additional education from LSKC and the University at Buffalo.
