Senior Manager, Engineering and Semiconductor Operations at Protochips

Nelson Marthe has held various roles in the engineering and semiconductor operations fields since 2008. In 2008, they were a student intern at ABB. From 2009-2011, they were a UCF College Work Experience Participant at Lockheed Martin, where they programmed a CIRRIS Easy-Wire system and designed a fixture to improve manufacturing efficiency of a wire harness. From 2011-2013, they were an Automation Engineer and CO-OP at FloMet LLC, where they designed and integrated a multi-camera machine vision inspection system and developed and programmed complex automated measurement routines. From 2013-2015, they were a Mechanical Engineer at G2 Technologies Inc, where they designed and detailed automated assembly and test equipment. Since 2015, they have been a Senior Manager, Engineering and Semiconductor Operations at Protochips, where they are responsible for manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and semiconductor operations. Nelson has also contributed to the development of new products through ideation, project planning, design, and testing, and has developed and executed strategies to improve technologies via continuous improvement and capital equipment projects.

Nelson Marthe obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2011. Nelson then went on to obtain their Master's Degree in Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2016. In 2012, they also obtained a Basic Certified Vision Professional certification from the Automated Imaging Association. In 2016, they obtained a Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization certification from North Carolina State University.
