Andrew Riggs has diverse work experience in software development and engineering. Andrew started their career as a Methods Engineer at Sandvik, where they supported milling programs and managed product labeling processes. Andrew then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida, conducting research on machining dynamics and utilizing Matlab modeling. Later, they joined Sandvik again as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, developing console applications and libraries for automating CAD/CAM software. After that, they served as a Software Developer at Emerson Process Management, focusing on front-end development and contributing to installer development. Currently, they are employed at Protolabs, where they have held multiple roles, including Software Developer, Senior Software Developer, and Principal Software Developer. In their current role, they design data-driven and scalable systems, developing intuitive and configurable solutions for on-demand manufacturing using containers, microservices, microUIs, and webcomponents.

Andrew Riggs obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 2007. Andrew then pursued further education at the same institution, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2008 to 2010.
