Head Of Fuel Cell Engineering at Proton Motor Fuel Cell

Dr. Nils Baumann has a diverse range of work experience in various research and leadership roles. Dr. Nils currently serves as the Head of Fuel Cell Engineering at Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Fraunhofer ICT from 2013 to 2020, where they held several positions including Project Leader, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Doctoral Student.

Dr. Nils also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Utah from 2010 to 2012, where their research focused on nanopores and ion channel recordings. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at both Justus Liebig Universität Gießen and Kansas State University, where their research involved the synthesis and characterization of complex materials for various applications. Overall, Dr. Nils Baumann has a strong background in research and leadership in the fields of fuel cells, nanotechnology, and materials science.

Dr. Nils Baumann completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Physical Chemistry from Justus Liebig University Giessen in 2008. Dr. Nils then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Utah during the period 2010-2012. In 2013, Dr. Baumann enrolled in TU Bergakademie Freiberg, where they completed their Doctor rerum naturalium degree in Materials Science and Materials Technology in 2017. In 2008-2009, Dr. Baumann briefly attended Kansas State University, although the specific degree obtained during this time period is unknown.
