Debbie Foster, BBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Debbie most recently worked as an Accountant at Proton Technologies Canada starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Controller at TransGlobe Energy Corporation from November 2022 to June 2023.

Foster has also worked in various contract and consulting controller roles at companies such as Calgary Homeless Foundation (through David Aplin), Sifton Petroleum, PetroFrontier Corp, Corex Resources, and WIN Energy. In these roles, they were responsible for financial and operational management reporting, liaising with external auditors, tax schedules, budgeting, cash flows, and forecasting. Debbie also implemented and managed financial systems and joint venture systems.

Earlier in their career, Foster was the Controller and CFO at Alberta Tubular Products Ltd., where they managed financial and IT activities for three inter-related companies. Debbie prepared financial statements, cash flow reports, and budget reports, and implemented an ERP switch. Additionally, they worked as a Financial Analyst and Accounting Operations Supervisor at the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Throughout their career, Foster has demonstrated achievements, such as successfully managing a backlog during a period of rapid sales growth at Alberta Tubular Products and implementing financial systems for acquisitions at Sifton Petroleum and PetroFrontier Corp.

Debbie Foster, BBA, has a diverse education history that spans several institutions and certifications. In 2010, they enrolled at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and completed their Bachelor of Applied Business Administration degree in Accounting/IT in 2015. During this time, they also pursued a certification as a Certified General Accountant, which they obtained in 2015.

In 2017, Debbie attended the Knowledge Bureau to further their professional development in tax-related matters, specifically focusing on "Final Returns on Death of a Taxpayer." Debbie also completed a one-day wine course, Level 1 WSET Wines, through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in the same year.

Most recently, in 2022, Debbie began pursuing a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst Certification from the Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI), a program they are currently enrolled in. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from CFI, including Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis, Building a 3 Statement Financial Model, FP&A Monthly Cash Flow Forecasting, Financial Analysis Fundamentals, Professional Ethics, Accounting Principles and Standards, Capital IQ Fundamentals, Macabacus Fundamentals, Corporate Finance Fundamentals, Accounting Fundamentals, Excel Fundamentals – Formulas for Finance, and Reading Financial Statements. These certifications showcase Debbie's dedication to enhancing their financial expertise and understanding of various analytical tools and principles.
