Stefano de Cillis has a diverse work history spanning over two decades. Stefano began their career as a Junior Engineer at Cryofab Ltd. in 1996. Stefano then worked as a Junior Mechanical Engineer at Dexion Storage Solutions from 1998 to 1999. Stefano joined DME Engineering Services in 1999, where they served as a Mechanical/piping Engineer and Site Engineer until 2001. Following that, they worked as a Piping Engineer at KCI the engineers B.V. from 2001 to 2003. In 2007, Stefano joined Proton Ventures Bv. as a Technical Manager, a role they held until 2022. Stefano then moved on to Battolyser Systems, where they worked as a Product Developer from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Stefano holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Proton Ventures.

Stefano de Cillis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney in 2001. Stefano then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Thermodynamics at Delft University of Technology from 2003 to 2007.
