Ketan Sampat

Co-Founder, Chief Technology & Product Officer at Provenance Chain(TM) Network

Ketan Sampat has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2020, they served as the Founding Academic Director of the MS-Applied Data Science for Business program at Portland State University, where they launched an innovative graduate-level business program that combines data science and business skills. Also in 2020, they became the Executive Partner at Elevate Capital Fund, a venture capital fund in Oregon that focuses on investing in underserved entrepreneurs.

In 2019, Sampat co-founded The Provenance Chain Network, where they served as the Chief Technology & Product Officer. The company's mission is to establish connections between partners and create transparency in commerce.

Prior to these roles, Sampat served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center and Foundation, an organization that provides comprehensive healthcare to marginalized communities. Starting in 2015, they joined the faculty at Portland State University, where they taught courses on international management and business intelligence & data analytics.

Sampat's earlier work experience includes founding the Oregon Chapter of TiE, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurship. Ketan also held various roles at CafeGive, an internet-based company that developed fundraising methods and SaaS tools for cause marketing. In addition, Sampat worked at Intel, where they held positions such as General Manager of the Streamed Computing Initiative and President of Intel India, responsible for the company's operations and strategic relationships in South Asia.

Throughout their career, Sampat has demonstrated a strong focus on entrepreneurship, leadership, and leveraging technology to drive business success.

Ketan Sampat has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
