Aurore Flaceliere has a diverse work experience in the sustainability and food industry. Aurore started their career in 2013 at Chêne Bleu Wines, where they served as the Sustainability Lead. In this role, they led environmental analysis, implemented sustainable land management solutions, and represented the company at international fairs. Aurore then joined Fairtrade International as a Commercial Intern in 2016. Aurore later worked at Made In Hackney as a Cookery Teacher from 2017 to 2018, where they organized and taught plant-based cooking classes for children. Aurore also served as the Partnerships and Community Lead at Grow Up Community Farm from 2017 to 2017. In 2015, they joined Slow Food as the Slow Food Planet - London Coordinator, where they originated and built the first Slow Food London guide. Aurore researched and assessed sustainable practices of various establishments, publishing critiques of the best and most sustainable restaurants in London. Currently, Aurore works at Provenance as the Senior Transparency & Impact Manager. Since joining in 2018, they have been leading the development of the Transparency Framework, advising enterprises on impact and transparency communications, managing relationships with certifiers and data partners, and coordinating with Provenance's Integrity Council.
Aurore Flaceliere began their education in 2009 at McGill University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science & Environmental Studies. Aurore completed their undergraduate studies in 2012. Following that, they attended The University of Edinburgh in 2012 and 2013, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environment & Development. Additionally, in 2012, they studied at Uppsala University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Sustainable Development.
