Edward (Ed) Kawamura

Ed Kawamura has over 26 years of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Edward (Ed) currently holds the position of Vice President at Provention Bio since August 2020. Prior to that, Ed served as the Senior Director of Distribution & Trade at Verastem Oncology from May 2018 to August 2020.

Ed also worked as the Director of Distribution & Trade at both Amicus Therapeutics from September 2015 to May 2018 and InterMune from July 2014 to September 2015. Edward (Ed) held the position of Director of Distribution & Trade Relations at Onyx Pharmaceuticals from an unknown date in 2011 to July 2014.

Before their time at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Ed was employed at Eisai from February 2008 to July 2011. During their tenure there, they served as the National Accounts Manager - Trade Relations and played a key role in the integration of MGI Pharma's Oncology business after Eisai's acquisition of MGI. Edward (Ed) successfully launched Halaven during this time.

Prior to Eisai, Ed worked at MGI Pharma as a National Accounts representative from March 2003 to February 2008. Edward (Ed) also held the position of VP Sales and Marketing at Cardinal Health from July 2002 to February 2003.

Ed's career began at Cardinal Health Care in July 1997, where they served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Physician Sales until June 2002. Edward (Ed) started their professional journey at Tecnol Medical Products in 1994, where they held the role of Director of Sales for the Western Hemisphere.

Edward Kawamura attended California State University-Sacramento from 1983 to 1987. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Management.
