David Obert

David Obert is a highly qualified medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine and pediatric critical care. Currently serving as the Provincial Medical Director for Emergency Dispatch at BC Emergency Health Services since November 2023, David also holds the position of Trauma Team Leader at St. Paul's Hospital and works as an Emergency Physician at the same institution. In addition, David is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at The University of British Columbia and was previously a Transport Physician at BC Children's Hospital. David's background includes leadership as the Regional Medical Director for Fraser Districts at BC Emergency Health Services and an EMS Fellowship at Stanford Health Care, where responsibilities included serving as Assistant Medical Director for the San Jose Fire Department and Medical Director for the Santa Clara County Fire Department. Academically, David Obert earned a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from McGill University.
