Samuel Gomez has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Samuel started their career as a Direct Observation / Telemetry Staff Nurse at Brea Community Hospital in 1986. Samuel then moved on to become the Director of Education at the same hospital from 1989 to 1995.

In 1995, Gomez joined USC University Hospital as an Education Program Specialist. After two years in this role, they became a Professor of Nursing at USC University of Southern California in 1997. Samuel taught in the Baccalaureate Program School of Nursing until 2000.

In 2000, Gomez joined Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian as the Executive Nursing Director. Samuel held this role for 8 years before transitioning to USC University Hospital as the Director of Cardiac and Critical Care Services from 2008 to 2009. Finally, they became the Executive Director of Cardiovascular & Critical Care Services at Mission Hospital in 2010.

Overall, Gomez has held various leadership positions in hospitals and has also contributed to nursing education as a professor.

Samuel Gomez, MSN, RN, CENP completed their education in nursing at California State University, Los Angeles. Samuel earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1988, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Administration/Education in 1995. Before that, they obtained an Associate of Science in Nursing from Cypress College in 1986.
