James Olano

James Olano has a diverse work experience in the field of information security. James began their career as an Information Security Specialist at Prudential Financial in 1991 and held the position until 2007. During this time, they gained expertise in monitoring and administration for security applications and played a key role in upgrading PeopleSoft software.

In 2008, Olano joined Prudential Financial again as a Senior Information Security Analyst. James monitored and administered security applications across multiple business units, trained staff, and maintained user accounts.

Olano then worked as an Application Security Analyst at Freddie Mac in 2013, where they collaborated with department heads and technical SMEs to gather data for application narratives and assisted with segregation of duties reporting.

In 2013, they also served as an IT Project Manager at NEWTECH, where they defined and maintained standard operating procedures and trained staff on security policies.

In 2014, Olano worked as a Contractor at Prudential Investments, leading a Mutual Fund remediation project and conducting mutual fund analysis.

Since 2015, they have been working at Provident Bank in various roles. James started as an Information Security Analyst and later became the AVP, IS Compliance Lead. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Information Security Governance Lead.

James Olano attended Union College - NJ from 1989 to 1990, where they obtained an AA degree in Business Administration.
