Heather Amos

Heather Amos currently serves as the Manager of Communications and Engagement for the BC Centre for Disease Control at the Provincial Health Services Authority, a position held since July 2018. Prior to this, Heather worked as a Communications Officer at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control from July 2018 to October 2022. Heather's background includes experience as a Media Relations Specialist at The University of British Columbia, where responsibilities encompassed writing news releases, managing media requests, and overseeing social media accounts. Earlier roles included positions as an intern reporter at The Globe and Mail and The Chronicle Herald. Heather holds a Master's degree in Journalism from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology and Chemistry from Acadia University.
