John Jacob

John Jacob serves as the Executive Director of Strategic Operations for BC Children's & Women's Hospitals under the Provincial Health Services Authority since 2016, also holding the position of Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation at BC Children's Hospital. As the Founder and Head of the Digital Lab at BC Children's Hospital since 2015, John Jacob has significantly contributed to advancing healthcare innovation. Additionally, John Jacob has a longstanding academic role as an Adjunct Professor at The University of British Columbia and serves as an Investigator and Researcher at the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute since 2020. Prior experience includes a Paramedic role with BC Emergency Health Services and faculty positions at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Health Innovation from City, University of London, an MSc in Health Economics from The London School of Economics, an MBA from The University of British Columbia, and training in clinical research from Harvard Medical School.
