Matthew Smith possesses extensive experience in emergency medical services and education. Currently, Matthew serves as the Lead Educator for the Advanced Care Paramedic Program at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, where a pediatric specialty program was designed and delivered. Additionally, Matthew works as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic with the Provincial Health Services Authority and participates in ski and bike park patrol at Whistler Blackcomb. As a co-founder of Canadian Outdoor Medical Consulting, Matthew provides critical outdoor medical services. Previous roles include critical care flight paramedic at Ornge and various instructive positions in paramedic education. Matthew holds degrees in Adult and Continuing Education, Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, and has completed distinguished training in critical care and advanced emergency medicine.
