Melvin Prakasan

Melvin Prakasan is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in strategic planning and financial analysis within the healthcare and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as Acting Director and Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Provincial Health Services Authority since July 2020, Melvin's role focuses on ensuring access to high-quality specialized healthcare services for BC residents. Previously, Melvin held positions at Mitacs from July 2018 to July 2020, where responsibilities included managing finance programs to foster innovation in Canada. Early career experience includes roles as Senior Accountant and Financial Accountant at RDH Building Science from August 2014 to June 2016. Melvin holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a Sustainability concentration from UBC Sauder School of Business.
