Simone van Geest

Simone van Geest is an experienced communication professional with a strong background in journalism and public relations. Currently serving as a Speechschrijver at Provincie Noord-Holland since February 2023, Simone has previously held roles such as Persvoorlichter at Algemene Onderwijsbond from 2018 to 2023 and worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various capacities, including as a Political Assistant to Minister Ploumen. Additional experience includes serving as a spokeswoman for PvdA, journalist positions at AVROTROS and VPRO, and consultancy work with the Gemeente Amsterdam. Simone obtained a Bachelor's degree in Societal History with a focus on communication and public relations from Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1991 to 1995.
