Herbert Hams

Herbert Hams is a seasoned legal advisor specializing in nature and environmental law, currently serving as the Senior Juridisch Adviseur Natuur en Milieu at Provincie Overijssel since January 2013. In this role, Herbert coordinates a team of five jurists, focusing on species protection and land management. Herbert also holds the position of Projectleider Natuurdoelanalyses en Natura 2000-beheerplannen, overseeing the development of nature goal analyses for 20 Natura 2000 areas. Previously, Herbert worked as an advocaat in administrative law at KienhuisHoving advocaten en notarissen and served as a legal advisor at the municipality of Dalfsen, where responsibilities included legal quality assurance and advising on complex legal issues. Herbert has contributed to the publication 'Wegwijzer Wro 2011' and holds a master's degree in Juridische Bestuurswetenschappen from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
