Later, they enrolled at Texas State University from 1992 to 1995, earning a B.B.A. degree in Marketing/Advertising. In 2011 and 2012, Thomas attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, where they studied Iranian/Persian Linguistics and Culture.
