Willem-Jan Velderman

Willem-Jan Velderman currently serves as Bestuurssecretaris at ProWonen since September 2025 and as an Algemeen bestuurslid for Waterschap Vechtstromen since March 2023, contributing to finance, urbanization, recreation, and the development of the water podcast Kletsnat. As a Zelfstandig advisor, researcher, and moderator since June 2020, Willem-Jan has collaborated with various organizations, including Kennispunt Twente and the Gemeente Kampen. Additional roles include co-hosting Het Keukentafelgesprek since November 2019, and serving as a PDEng/gastonderzoeker at the Universiteit Twente since April 2018, focusing on learning in local and regional networks. Previous positions encompass strategic advising roles in several municipalities, beginning as a beleidsmedewerker at the Gemeente Dalfsen and culminating as a strategic advisor for housing and care in Gemeente Berkelland until September 2025. Willem-Jan holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Twente.
