Paul Thomas

Paul Thomas is an accomplished procurement professional with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management. Currently serving as a Principal Consultant at Proxima since September 2025, Paul previously held significant roles such as Head of Procurement at DFI Retail Group, where responsibilities included managing sourcing for a diverse portfolio of brands across multiple countries. Prior to this, Paul worked at Woolworths Group as a Portfolio/Category Manager, and spent over a decade at Tesco in various procurement leadership roles across Asia and Europe. Earlier experience includes procurement positions at Ford Motor Company, contributing to significant projects like the 2002 Fiesta launch. Paul holds a degree in Business Studies and Logistics & Supply Chain Management from Northumbria University, is a Fully Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, and has further training from the Tesco Academy.
