Courtney Brown

Courtney Brown has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 2004, they started working as an Economic Recovery & Market Systems Technical Advisor at USAID - Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), where they stayed until 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Courtney served as the Director of Humanitarian Assistance at Global Communities. Courtney then moved on to USAID - Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) in 2013, where they worked as the Syria Country Representative until 2017. In 2018, Courtney joined Red Rose as the CEO, overseeing all operational components and managing a team of 40+ people. Since 2020, they have been the CEO at Proximity International.

Courtney Brown's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, which they obtained from 1992-1997. In 2000-2001, they pursued a Masters of Science (MSc) degree in Development Economics and International Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
