Evan Karatzas

Evan Karatzas has a wealth of work experience, starting in 1990 as a Graphic Designer at MicroArts Creative Agency. Evan then moved on to a Senior Interactive Designer role at PixelMEDIA, Inc. in 1995. In 1997, they became Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Flywire, where they built a regional web solutions practice with a design focus and managed a multi-disciplinary team of 30+ employees. In 2001, they Co-Founded Icovia and served as Creative Director, responsible for product road map and business requirements as well as all aspects of Icovia branding, marketing and user interface. From 2006-2008, they were a Visiting Professor at Massachusetts College of Art. In 2008, they Co-Founded Proximity Lab, a UX design studio with deep experience in research, strategy and product design. In 2010, they became a Member of the Board of Directors at 3S Artspace. In 2012, they Co-Founded and Organized TEDxPortsmouth and assembled a top-tier advisory team and succession plan for what is now an annual event. Finally, in 2013, they became a Board Member of the Piscataqua Region at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.

Evan Karatzas received their MFA in Communication Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2005. Prior to this, they obtained a BS in Advertising from Syracuse University in 1994. Evan also graduated from Winnacunnet High School in 1990.
