Igor Makedonsky

Igor Makedonsky is an experienced legal professional with a long-standing career at Proximus since January 1998, culminating in the role of Director Group Legal & Insurance - General Counsel. Throughout various positions, including Vice President and Head of Competition & Regulatory Law, Makedonsky has developed expertise in competition law, electronic communications law, media law, and data protection and privacy, while managing a team of seven lawyers. Prior experience includes serving as Legal Counsel at BIPT, where Makedonsky advised on regulatory strategies and contributed to the liberalization of the telecommunications sector, and as Legal Counsel at Belgacom, focusing on competition law. Makedonsky began a career as a barrister at Laixhay and holds degrees in law from the University of Liège and management from Vlerick Business School.
