Rachel Stern

Rachel Stern is an experienced sustainability professional currently serving as the Director of Sustainability Reporting at Prudential Financial since July 2023. Previously, Rachel held the position of Worldwide Manager for Enterprise ESG Reporting & Disclosure at Johnson & Johnson, where responsibilities included managing the Health for Humanity Report and advancing ESG integration. Prior roles include Senior Environmental Specialist at the Port of San Diego, Private Sector Analyst at the World Bank's Climate Investment Funds, and Evidence Research Analyst at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. Rachel also worked as a Research Analyst at Industrial Economics and a Senior Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, where involvement in the Environmental Impact Committee was notable. Educational qualifications include an IMBA from IE Business School and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Bates College, complemented by study abroad at Boston University. Rachel has also contributed to bicycle advocacy as a board member for MassBike.
