Marie Meteer

Senior Research Scientist at Pryon

Marie Meteer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Marie started their career in 1987 at BBN Technologies, where they held various roles such as Sr. Scientist & Manager and VP of Commercial Speech. At BBN Technologies, they were responsible for business development, managing product development, and achieving significant growth and profitability. Marie also served as the Executive Director at the Speech Technology Consortium from 2009 to 2012. Later, they worked as the VP Speech and Content at Ramp Holdings, Inc., where they oversaw the strategic direction of speech and natural language processing technologies for search and media marketing. Marie Meteer also worked as a Consultant at MM Consulting and as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Practice in Computer Science at Brandeis University, where they taught graduate courses in speech recognition and computational linguistics and organized opportunities for students to interact with industry leaders. Currently, they are employed at Pryon as a Senior Research Scientist.

Marie Meteer earned their PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completing their studies between 1984 and 1990.
