Benjamin Ferlay has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Benjamin is currently the Research and Development Director-Region CTO at Prysmian Group, responsible for leading innovative R&D teams in Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania. Prior to this, they worked at Valeo Thermal Powertrain as the North Europe R&D Director, overseeing OEMs for Powertrain Thermal Systems. Benjamin also served as the Charge Air Cooling Technical Product Line R&D Manager, managing a team in developing future charge air cooling products. Additionally, Benjamin worked at MANN+HUMMEL, where they held various roles such as Manager Advanced Engineering, Deputy Technical Manager at MANN+HUMMEL JAPAN, and Lead design engineer. Their earlier work experience includes a role as a Design Engineer at MECAPLAST, where they worked with German car makers for plastic engine parts.

Benjamin Ferlay completed a CORe (Credential of Readiness) program in Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting at Harvard Business School Online in 2022. Benjamin also attended INSEAD and completed the VALEO GLOBAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM in 2017 and the CEDEP - Management Program in 2014. Prior to that, Benjamin obtained a Master's degree in Materials - Mechanics from Institut des Sciences de l'Ingenieur de Toulon et du Var (ISITV) from 1997 to 2000. Benjamin completed their Maths sup - Maths spé education in Physics & Engineering at Lycée Paul Cezanne - Aix en Provence from 1995 to 1997.
