Laura Beretta

Laura Beretta has extensive experience in the field of taxation and customs. Laura is currently working at Prysmian Group as the Group VP Taxation & Customs, a position they have held since January 2020. In this role, Laura is responsible for coordinating a Tax Team involved in cross-border tax issues, M&A, and transfer pricing. Laura has also been involved in tax compliance strategy and controversies globally.

Prior to their current role, Laura worked as the Group Tax Director at Prysmian Group starting in September 2014. During their tenure, they were responsible for coordinating cross-border tax issues and extraordinary matters for 50 countries. Laura played a key role in the acquisition of General Cable and was involved in tax analysis, due diligence, and integration.

Before joining Prysmian Group, Laura held various positions in other organizations. Laura was a Member of Angels4Women, an association dedicated to supporting women-led startups, from March 2019. Laura's responsibilities included networking, selection, and mentoring of startups.

Laura also served as a Member of the European Joint Transfer Pricing Forum as NGM to EU Commission from March 2015 to March 2019. In this role, they worked on pragmatic, non-legislative solutions to transfer pricing practices in the EU.

Laura's earlier experience includes working as the Group Tax Director at Indesit Company Spa from October 2007 to August 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Tax Senior Associate at Baker & Mc Kenzie from December 2005 to September 2007. Laura began their career as a Tax Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, where they worked from 1997 to 2005.

Laura Beretta earned a Bachelor's degree from Università Bocconi between 1989 and 1994.
