David Berteau is the President and CEO of the Professional Services Council and a Fellow at the National Academy of Public Administration since November 2002. Currently serving as Director of the Procurement Round Table since May 2021, Berteau previously held the position of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics and Materiel Readiness at the U.S. Department of Defense from January 2015 to March 2016. Additional roles include Senior Vice President at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and member of the Board of Directors at R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. from 2001 to 2014, along with serving on the Board of Visitors at the Defense Acquisition University from 2003 to 2009. Berteau also worked as Director of Defense and Homeland Security at Clark & Weinstock between May 2003 and February 2008. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tulane University.
