Bryan Baker

Bryan Baker has a diverse background in public safety and security within educational and utility settings. Currently, as a Special Project Consultant for the University of Michigan since December 2022, Bryan coordinates projects remotely for the Division of Public Safety & Security. Bryan also serves as an Apprentice Lineman at PSEG Long Island LLC, gaining practical knowledge in electric transmission and distribution systems since March 2022. Prior experience includes over a decade at the University of Michigan, where Bryan held various roles including Executive Lieutenant, where responsibilities involved liaising with Student Life departments and managing community programming initiatives, and Security Lieutenant, overseeing shift operations and a team of officers. Bryan's career began with roles in security and safety at Lake Superior State University and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Lake Superior State University.
