Katy Tatzel has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and communications. Katy is currently the Director of Communications at PSEG Long Island LLC. Prior to this, they were the CEO & Founder of Greene Digital Marketing, LLC, where they provided marketing and communication services to small business owners and creatives in the New York metropolitan area.
Before that, they worked at Farmingdale State College in various roles. As the Chief Communications & External Relations Officer, they oversaw the marketing and communications team and developed media strategies. Katy also served as the Chief Communications, Strategy, and Enrollment Officer, where they led COVID-19 communications efforts and managed marketing and enrollment. Additionally, they were the Associate Director of Communications, where they managed advertising budgets and implemented Google Grants.
Earlier in their career, Katy worked as a Digital & Brand Strategist, where they created digital engagement strategies and developed content for various platforms. Katy also has experience as a Digital Media Manager and Acting Digital Content Specialist.
Katy Tatzel obtained their High School Diploma from Islip High School in the years 2002 to 2006. Katy then pursued their undergraduate education at the State University of New York Cortland from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a degree in Political Science, Adolescent Education, History, and Africana Studies. Following this, Katy obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Dowling College in 2014. In the same year, they also obtained a Web Analytics for Higher Ed Certificate from Higher Ed Experts. From 2015 to 2018, Katy pursued an Advanced Degree Certificate in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University. Currently, they are a PhD Candidate at the University at Buffalo, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
