Cristian Bravo

NGS General Manager at Psomagen

Cristian Bravo has been working in the field of science since 2008. Cristian began their career as an Invited Professor at Universidad de Chile, providing teaching support for modules related to genetic information and fish production, as well as General Veterinary Pathology and Diagnostic Pathology courses. Cristian then became a Postdoctoral Researcher in FONDEF IDeA en Dos Etapas ID14I10090, where they established and maintained a cell culture unit and developed and implemented a cell-free media for the pathogen Piscircickettsia salmonis. In 2017, they joined uBiome as a Tech Transfer Technical Lead, where they developed and implemented strategies to decrease COGs and TAT of clinical products and lead the validation and implementation in the clinical laboratory of protocols following CLIA and CAP regulations. In 2020, they joined Instituto de Salud Pública as a Research and Development Scientist. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Psomagen as a Senior Dev Scientist and Senior DTC Lab Scientist.

Cristian Bravo obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the Universidad de Chile in the field of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences. Cristian also holds a Bachelor in Veterinary Medicine from the same university.
