Shahbaz Khan, MD, serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Medical Education at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington since February 2018, specializing in adult, child and adolescent, and addiction psychiatry. Prior to this role, Shahbaz Khan held positions as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at EMQ/UFS Crisis Stabilization Unit from September 2014 to February 2018 and practiced at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center from July 2008 to February 2018. Earlier experience includes roles in child and adolescent and adult psychiatry at Faith Regional Health Services, as well as child and adolescent psychiatry at Brown University, the University of Iowa, and Southern Illinois University, dating back to June 1997. Shahbaz Khan graduated from King Edward Medical College and completed further training at Brown University, the University of Iowa, and Southern Illinois University.
