Ali Akbar Velayati

Ali Akbar Velayati has a diverse work experience in the field of geology. Ali Akbar started their career in 2012 as a Geologist at PT Antam Tbk. Unit Geomin, where they were responsible for geological mapping and managing exploration drilling operations.

Ali Akbar then moved to PT Arutmin Indonesia in 2012, taking on the role of Wellsite Geologist for a brief period before being promoted to Geologist. At Arutmin, they gained experience in geological exploration and worked until 2014.

In 2014, Velayati joined Belverdia Group as a Geologist, where they worked until 2015 before moving to Kutai Energi for a few months.

In 2016, they joined PT. United Tractors Semen Gresik as an Engineer, and later that year joined PT Arutmin Indonesia again as a Geology & Geotechnical Engineer. Ali Akbar was then promoted to the role of Geology & Geotechnical Section Head in May 2019, where they currently work.

Throughout their career, Velayati has gained expertise in geological mapping, exploration drilling, and geotechnical engineering.

Ali Akbar Velayati obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) from 2007 to 2011. In addition, they have obtained certifications including "Pengawas Operasional Pertama" from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in December 2018, and "Pengawas Operasional Madya" from the same institution in November 2019.
