Graham Hill

Engineering Specialist at PT Blink

Graham Hill has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Graham currently works as an Engineering Specialist at PT Blink since 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Head of Applied Technology & Training at PT Blink Technology, where they collaborated with engineering and manufacturing partners to develop a unique construction system for multi-storey structures. Graham also conducted construction sequence analysis and fire design for these structures.

Prior to that, from 2011 to 2018, Graham worked as a Senior Engineer at PT Technology, where they focused on designing post-tensioned steel structures and conducting finite element analysis.

Before joining PT Technology, they worked as a Support Engineer at Strand7 Pty Ltd between 2008 and 2011. In this role, they provided advice to users of the Strand7 finite element analysis package and wrote training documentation.

From 2003 to 2008, Graham served as a Stress Engineer at Dowty Propellers, where they analyzed composite propeller blades and metallic components. Graham also led a reduced-cost RTM project and conducted investigations on fiber preform modeling.

From 2000 to 2006, they worked as a Research Associate at the University of Bristol Aerospace. Graham conducted aeroelastic analysis of aerodynamic structures and developed structural finite element analysis code. Additionally, they completed a Ph.D. in collaboration with GKN/Westland Helicopters, focusing on the failure prediction of carbon fiber composite components.

Graham's early career included roles such as a Component Engineer at Ford Motor Company Ltd from 1995 to 1997, where they were responsible for engine system design, and a Sponsored Degree position with the University of Bristol and Ministry of Defence from 1991 to 1995, where they gained practical engineering skills.

Graham Hill obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. Graham then pursued further education and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Delamination of Composite Materials from the same university, completing their PhD studies from 1997 to 2000.
