PT New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1) commenced its operation in August 2016. The development of NPCT1 will bring Jakarta's port facilities up to par with other world-class ports and provide more reliable connectivity in Indonesia. It will significantly strengthen Indonesia's logistics competitiveness and lead to a better trade environment. 

NPCT1 has a handling capacity of 1.5 million Twenty-footer-equivalent units( TEUs) of containers with a total quay length 850m and 16 m draft alongside berths. The terminal is equipped with 8 units of Super Post Panamax Quay Crane, 24 units of electricity powered Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) & 990 reefer plugs to meet demands of terminal users.
