Hunter Lewis, PT, DPT, Cert. DN, has a diverse range of work experience in the field of physical therapy. Hunter started their career as a Fitness Specialist at Russell Medical Center in 2016 before pursuing their doctoral degree at Georgia Southern University. During their time at Georgia Southern University, they served as a Doctoral Student and also worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Dean of Students.
After completing their doctoral program in 2020, Hunter worked as a Student Physical Therapist at Advance Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy, where they gained practical experience in outpatient orthopedic practice. Hunter then interned at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, providing evaluations and treatments for veterans with neuromusculoskeletal conditions and issuing durable medical equipment.
In 2018, Hunter completed their first clinical affiliation at St. Joseph's/Candler, where they evaluated and treated patients in the acute phase following surgical procedures. Hunter later joined Advance Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist, utilizing various treatment methods to help patients regain mobility and optimize movement patterns.
Currently, Hunter is working at PT Solutions Physical Therapy as the Clinic Director, overseeing the operations and clinical practice of the facility.
