Amol Mungikar

Amol Mungikar has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Amol is currently working as the Vice President of CMC (Tech Ops), PD, and Manufacturing at PTC Therapeutics, Inc., where they are responsible for the development of manufacturing processes for the company's AAV based Gene Therapy portfolio. Amol leads cross-functional CMC Development teams and manages a team of MSAT scientists and engineers for technology transfer and process validation.

Prior to their current role, Amol held executive positions at Bristol Myers Squibb and Celgene. At Bristol Myers Squibb, they served as the Director of Cell Therapy Validation Global Manufacturing Science and Technology. At Celgene, they held the positions of Director of Biologics Manufacturing Science and Technology, Director of Commercial Product Development, and Associate Director of Biologics Manufacturing Science and Technology. In these roles, they led various teams responsible for process development, implementation, and optimization, as well as managing external manufacturing relationships.

Amol's earlier experience includes roles at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Bristol-Myers Squibb, where they worked on product and process development, stability analysis, and regulatory filing activities.

Amol began their career as a Research Scientist at the National Chemical Laboratory and worked as a Process Engineer at Larsen & Toubro.

Amol Mungikar earned a B Chem Engg in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai from 1994-1998. Amol later received an MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2000-2005.
