Jeff Trimmer

Jeff Trimmer has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Jeff started their career in 2000 at Entelos, where they held various roles including Scientist, Director, and Vice President of R&D. From 2009 to 2010, they served as Chief Scientific Officer at Entelos. In 2010, they joined Pfizer Inc. as Senior Director of in vivo Physiology and Systems Biology, and later became the Executive Director of Diabetes Prevention and Remission & Systems Biology. In 2014, they moved to Edison Pharmaceuticals, which later changed its name to BioElectron, where they held positions as Vice President and Senior Vice President of Discovery Research. Jeff then joined BioElectron Technology Corporation as their Chief Scientific Officer in 2017, before it was acquired by PTC Therapeutics in 2019. At PTC Therapeutics, Jeff Trimmer served as Vice President of Research & Site Head, Head of External Research and Alliance Management (ERAM) before being promoted to Senior Vice President of Research, Site Head, and Head of External Research Alliance Management in 2023.

Jeff Trimmer holds a Ph.D. in Integrative Biology/Human Physiology, which they obtained from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology at the University of California, Davis, from 1986 to 1991.
