Karen Hobdell

Karen Hobdell has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Karen is currently the Senior Director of Marketing for PTC Therapeutics, Inc. in the UK and Ireland. Prior to this, they held the position of UK Marketing Director for PTC Therapeutics, Inc. in the EMEA region. Before joining PTC Therapeutics, Inc., Karen worked as a Brand Lead for Rare Diseases at Sanofi Genzyme. Karen also served as Director at Impulsion UK Ltd and held marketing roles at Shire Pharmaceuticals, CareFusion, Genzyme, Baxter Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, UCB Pharma, and Colorcon.

Karen Hobdell obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2001-2002. Prior to that, they completed a BSc (Hons) in Biology and American Studies from Keele University in 1995-1998. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in February 2020.
