Sue Smalley is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in academia and investment. As the Co-Founder of PTK Capital since 2015, Sue Smalley focuses on investing in initiatives that enhance the human condition. At UCLA since 2002, Sue Smalley holds the titles of Professor Emeritus and Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences and serves as Founder and Director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center. Prior roles include Co-Director of the Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Research Institute from 1995 to 2002, and various positions within the Department of Psychiatry from 1989 to 1999. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Michigan and both a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Anthropology with a focus on population and behavior genetics from UCLA.
