David Sherman

Director Of Partnerships at PTO Exchange

David Sherman has worked in the employee benefits industry since 1983. David began their career at Schmitt, Sussman Enterprises as Assistant Vice President, where they managed a sales staff of 40 plus employees, helped create and develop a sales training program, created and implemented incentive programs, and established a sales conservation program. In 1998, they moved to Winston Financial Services as Vice President of Work-site Marketing, responsible for the sales production of voluntary benefit programs and group products.

In 2001, they started their own company, Preferred Benefit Solutions, an employee benefits enrollment firm specializing in the sale, design, enrollment, and administration of Voluntary Benefit Programs. David then worked at EOI Service Company as Regional Director, where they helped employers increase the effectiveness of their employee retention strategy by promoting their existing benefits and adding new voluntary benefits.

In 2011, David Sherman moved to ARAG as Managing Director of Sales for NY NJ PA. David then joined Kashable in 2014 as Vice President of Sales, helping employees cover the financial gap created by high-deductible health plans. In 2019, they returned to Preferred Benefit Solutions as Founder and President, merging innovation with benefits. Most recently, in 2021, they joined PTO Exchange as Director of Partnerships, helping companies attract and retain talent, strengthen community, and reduce balance sheet liabilities.

David Sherman attended Fair Lawn High School from 1976 to 1979. David then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science at Ramapo College of New Jersey, graduating in 1983 with dual majors in Marketing and Management.
