Katherine Zahn

Katherine Zahn is an experienced environmental policy advocate currently serving as an Environmental Policy and Advocacy Intern at Public Citizen since January 2020. Katherine has also been a FEMA Corps Member with AmeriCorps NCCC since February 2018, contributing to multiple disaster response deployments during a 10-month service term. Previous experience includes roles as a Barista Trainer at Starbucks, where skills in high-pressure environments were honed, and as a Runner for Favor Delivery, ensuring timely deliveries. Additional work as a Pedaller for Compost Pedallers involved transporting approximately 25,000 pounds of compost to community gardens in Austin. Katherine's early career included a Technical Theatre Internship at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability Studies with a concentration in Natural Resource Management from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in 2020.
