Public Counsel
Cassidy Bennett is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Public Counsel since February 2024. Prior experience includes working as an Attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles from September 2022 to February 2024, and a Law Clerk in various organizations such as CHIRLA in the Removal Defense Unit and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia in the Trial Division. Cassidy also gained academic experience as a Graduate Student Instructor at the UCLA Center for Community Engagement, mentoring students in Food Studies projects. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Environmental Justice from Brown University.
