Public Counsel
Jonathan Jager is a Staff Attorney at Public Counsel since August 2023, previously serving at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles from September 2017 to July 2023 in roles that included Staff Attorney and Community Economic Development Fellow. Jager's expertise lies in representing nonprofits with a focus on land use, real estate, nonprofit tax, and corporate legal assistance. Notable contributions include assisting nonprofit organizations in tax exemption application processes, advising community land trusts, acquiring Welfare Exemptions for affordable housing, and drafting Community Benefits Agreements.
