Yared Lingo is currently a Reentry and Mitigation Specialist at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, a role held since January 2021, with prior positions including Mitigation Specialist, Investigative Specialist in the Special Litigation Division, and Investigative Intern. Yared's previous experience includes an internship at Babe City Records and a role as a Canvasser for New Virginia Majority. Yared has also worked as a Digital Library Student Assistant at Pomona College and as an Operations Intern for the Archimedes Project. Early career experience encompasses a Research Internship at The Brookings Institution focusing on Economic Studies and serving as a Summer Camp Counselor at Sidwell Friends School. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Africana Studies from Pomona College and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Black Studies from Amherst College. Yared is a graduate of School Without Walls High School.
