Sharon Calvin has extensive work experience in the field of public health and risk assessment. Sharon most recently held the position of Head of One Health Risk Assessment Methods and Tools at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Prior to that, they worked as an Early Warning and Risk Modelling Specialist at FAO. Sharon also worked as a Risk Analyst at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for over a decade.

Sharon Calvin graduated from the University of Toronto, Ontario Veterinary College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, and Public Health. Sharon also earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and a Master of Science degree during their time at the university.
