Kavita Singh

Senior Research Scientist at Public Health Foundation of India

Kavita Singh has a diverse background in public health research and project management. Kavita currently holds the position of Senior Research Scientist at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), where they have been working since January 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist at PHFI.

In addition to their work at PHFI, Kavita has served as an Adjunct Faculty at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University since June 2021. Kavita also held the role of Visiting Scholar at Stanford University starting in January 2020.

Kavita's academic journey began at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where they pursued their PhD in Medical Sciences from February 2012 to January 2017. Before that, they were a Fogarty Scholar at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control from July 2010 to June 2011.

Earlier in their career, Kavita worked as a Project Manager at the Public Health Foundation of India from June 2009 to June 2011. Kavita also gained experience as a Clinical Research Associate at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control from June 2008 to October 2009.

Kavita Singh has a diverse education history. Kavita obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology, General from Delhi University, graduating in 2006. In the same year, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Research from ICRI, New Delhi, which they completed in 2008. Additionally, they attended Cranfield University from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a Masters degree in Clinical Research.

In 2013, Kavita Singh attended the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, where they focused on Economic Evaluation and obtained a Master of Science degree in Economic Evaluation.

In terms of additional certifications, they completed courses such as "Diabetes - a Global Challenge" and "Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials" from Coursera, in 2014 and 2013 respectively. Kavita also received a Coursera certification in "Diabetes: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Opportunities" in 2013. Lastly, they earned an "edX Honor Code Certificate for Health in Numbers: Quantitative Methods in Clinical & Public Health Research," from edX (obtained year and month unknown) as part of their continuous learning.
